A day tour combining a visit to Florence  and   Pisa for a brief stop by the world famous Leaning Tower. Heading east the scenic drive to Florence takes just over an hour. Arriving in Florence,    a short pause is made at Piazzale Michelangelo for a spectacular view of Florence and its surrounding countryside. See 14th century Ponte Vecchio and its glittering jewellers’ windows. Visit the Uffizi Gallery with its priceless treasures. Pause by nearby Palazzo Vecchio     unique open air museum. A short drive to the Accademia Gallery  where a brief visit will focus on Michelangelo’s David. See the spectacular Piazza del Duomo with the early 15th century cathedral and Giotto’s bell tower. Facing the cathedral the Baptistery with its magnificent “Gates of Paradise” and golden mosaics. Some free time for shopping may be allocated.
